0 ResponsesDrummer Clown of Slipknot teases that there may be a North American Tour for Slipknot in the future.
After all of this summer touring in Europe, Slipknot fans in America must be incredibly jealous, fortunately Slipknot stickman Shawn “Clown” Crahan released some great news for these little “maggots.”
Via Facebook, Crahan stated that Slipknot will be “touring by next June in America only,” no details for the 2012 journey were announced yet.
Crahan also let fans know that there will not be any new music for quite some time.
“No album yet because it is too soon and there are no songs yet because the band needs to come together to write this next one.”
He poetically writes “I cannot wait to feel the ideas like choking on color. Everything happens for a reason, so be ready.”
North American maggots hold tight next year, is just around the corner!

slipknot members
Slipknot Members
DJ Sid "0" Wilson is Slipknot's turntablist and is responsible for the scratching sounds heard on both the s/t album and Iowa. He is rarely used nowadays and spends his time duking it out with fellow member Shawn on stage shows.
Joey "1" Jordison is the drummer for Slipknot and is part of the old line-up. He is responsible for the blast beats and double bass drum patterns evident on some of Slipknot's popular cuts such as "People=Shit" and "Metabolic".
Paul "2" Gray is the bass player of the band and is part of the original Slipknot line-up. Unlike the rest of the band, he was in fact born in Los Angeles, but he resides in Des Moines with the rest of the guys now.
Chris "3" Fehn is the second custom percussionist for the band, replacing Brandon. Just like Shawn and Sid, he is rarely used and jumps around most of the time on live shows.
James "4" Root is the rhythm guitarist of Slipknot, and replaced Josh Brainard during the final stages of the s/t albums recording.
Craig "5" Jones is the sampler/synth player of the band and provides the band with sampled sound clips from obscure as well as popular, horror flicks.
Shawn "6" Crahan is one of the founding members of Slipknot and currently serves as one of the two custom percussionists for the band. He is touted as the man behind the whole concept of Slipknot and always gets into trouble, especially with concert security.
Mick "7" Thomson is the lead guitar player and the resident serial killer fanatic. He was recruited by the band through local Des Moines act - Modifidious, and runs his own guitar school called "Ye Olde Guitar Shop". Also a BC Rich endorsee for 5 years, but after a disagreement with his guitars, Mick changed from BC Rich to Ibanez.
Corey "8" Taylor was recruited from local Des Moines group - Stone Sour, a runner-up on the Battle of the Bands contest right behind Slipknot. He also works on a porn shop prior to joining Slipknot as the vocalist, replacing Anders.
